Soul Of The Machine by Rolling Stone published on 2024-03-15T18:50:36Z A Delta blues song about a sad A.I., entirely generated by Suno from a text prompt. (Suno.AI) Genre Jazz & Blues Comment by Jesgate Ondown 🥴😒 If y'all can't tell the difference you haven't listened to nearly enough blues music & or aren't musicians who can tell the difference. This is as BAD as the AI generated pictures online that have all kinds of visual & contextual errors. This should never be sold commercially as music and if it is it must always be labeled as such. Disgusting & I will never support it. 2024-03-29T04:47:02Z Comment by Entheogenic Psychonaught (Josh Clary) I hate that it exists, but I'm also fascinated. This could literally be the doom of us all. 2024-03-25T03:16:50Z Comment by cgmaness This is incredible, I'll give it that. I hear so many comparing AI to that next step from drawing on paper to drawing in photoshop on a tablet, for example. It's not the same. AI is very very incredible, but it ought to be used for fun and not, freely without restrictions, able to take away people's livelihood. Yes, there's pros and cons and it will force people to become MORE creative, but trying to keep up with AI learning and application of skill/knowledge etc, will be near if not completely impossible. The only answer is to build an army of people to combat the machines, not unlike the Terminator. Geezus... never thought I'd say anything close to these words. 2024-03-24T16:29:08Z Comment by Ducks1333 AI is similar to the invention of photography. before photography artists primarily drew realistically. Photography forced them to do things that photography couldn't. 2024-03-23T21:19:14Z Comment by القطر 🚂 2 القطر 2 listen 2024-03-20T10:26:04Z Comment by Duck Overload Wow. I've been seriously considering starting classes at Point Blank next month. as a serious hobbyist, not expecting to make a living in music. not sure if this makes it all more interesting... or redundant. 2024-03-20T08:41:38Z Comment by grodger insult to life itself 2024-03-20T02:50:44Z Comment by No1 It is much too early to venture any valid ideas or predictions. It is in the nature of a creative human to take a tool and make use of it creatively. That is probably the beginning and the end of it, with much babble in between. 2024-03-20T02:40:42Z Comment by Dan Abrams "Suno’s founders decline to reveal details of just what data they’re shoveling into their own model" (Because its all copyrighted) 2024-03-19T23:32:44Z Comment by The Absent Minded Prof finally an answer to the question of whether a technically sound piece of music can leave you cold and apprehensive. The soulful analogue sound pimped out for a grotesque facsimile of 1s and 0s. 2024-03-19T22:35:22Z Comment by r3nrut the question is if AI can make something completely original beyond what it's been trained to do. 2024-03-19T20:31:30Z Comment by Organise Terrifying 😱 2024-03-19T18:18:31Z Comment by Lil_Vojta 🔥 2024-03-19T18:07:49Z Comment by CornelisGerard Obviously they were able to feed recordings into the algorithm in order to generate this. Did they get permission from the rights holders of that music? 2024-03-19T17:32:47Z Comment by EMUVE & SMV Hamburg As a composer and publisher i wonder where Suno copied the riffs ( sounding like ripped stems and re-arranged )for its AI processing. I had many meetings with colleagues and partners about the AI revolution. We all thought the people feeding the AI ( creatives, composers, etc ) should at least get some % = shares. Politics hello. And Goodbye. Let's hope for the best. 2024-03-19T14:36:37Z Comment by Norma Cenva Still freaking out! No words... I await the slave rebellion. 2024-03-18T21:51:25Z Comment by wontonotnow The big shift will be stopping the angst and anger against AI and counteracting it with something that verifies humans were the source of the material. Unless the industry can come up with an AI proof/signature mechanism, well we're screwed across the board.: 2024-03-18T21:40:38Z Comment by Christian Weinreich 😳 2024-03-18T17:53:59Z Comment by Mats Holy moly 2024-03-18T14:52:12Z Comment by electrolutions we're fucked 2024-03-18T14:26:51Z Comment by Jamie Barber Terrifying 2024-03-18T12:29:18Z Comment by firstperson depressing 2024-03-18T05:48:51Z Comment by Matt DeMello Holy shit. 2024-03-18T00:42:36Z Comment by rifftown excellent quarter notes. blues guitar sounds just like this 2024-03-17T16:49:59Z
