Project Hubbard by zerozillion published on 2013-10-07T19:44:33Z Rob Hubbard, one of the most known pioneers in chiptunes, music on old computers that is. He was forerunner with inventing never seen before playback routines and created sounds like no other did. He is a master of arrangement and he knows how to entertain with his tracks. Back in the days I loaded games up just to hear the music play, and it had a very special sound, due to the nature of the sid-chip: The old 6581 chip has manufacture tolerances that makes it nearly impossible to playback a sound the same way on two different chips, even of same revision, unless you test both chips filter section 100% to be the same. So I went out to find the most ideal chip for this tunes, but of course this is only subjective. Consequently I recorded all important Hubbard tunes from my most favourite chip, like I heard it back in the day. A strong indicator has always been the intro sound to "Nemesis the warlock". Some may say it needs to sound different, some may experience Rob Hubbard like never before. However, I hope you may enjoy my perception of this kind of music.
