Ghosted

I think I just missed a turn
I shouldn’t have made
I just paid a toll I shouldn’t have paid.
Life has dreams that never come true,
He said, “take a chance on me, I took a chance with you.”

And I got ghosted
Yeah, I got ghosted
He turned every fear I had against me,
Now I’m standing alone in my shame

Some carry grievances
They refuse to evaluate.
I think it’s time I say
I was one of those who wanted to retaliate!
I let you lead me astray.
I let you lead me into hate.
I guess it’s on me to accept the cause of my fate.

I shouldn’t have been so inhuman
that’s the drug we all been dealt
