Felt sense is a concept that describes the internal bodily awareness that arises when we connect with the body's intelligence through sensations in the present moment. It is not a mental experience but a physical one. The ‘Felt’ experience is present even before we have the words to describe the feeling, before we can even express it in language. Experiencing felt sense can be cultivated through meditative practices and therapies that focus on developing a certain kind of awareness and attention. The process is beneficial for alleviating stress and healing trauma.
