Simply Missy - Chipping & Gripping (feat. Kevon "Yank Nation" Ottley)

Though I did not know him personally and was just one of many people who was captivated by his strong voice saying good up good up words describing "Ms. Grippy" and one of many artists who asked his permission to use his sound byte and he graciously said "I don't see a problem with that, honey"; although I was just one of many artists who wanted to enhance the creative music space by adding his words to their sound recording, his untimely passing still shocked me, as if I knew him. In memorial, I want to make sure I put the track where people can access it for FREE and not have to pay for download, if they so choose to listen to Kevon "Yank Nation" "Yank Boss" Ottley's voice put to song. He made the soca better and always gave us a PURE laugh or two when he wasn't "pongin'" somebody (oh gosh :-). (he did have more than a few pure comedic moments that I enjoyed; I enjoyed the laughs where the joke was NOT at the emotional expense of others. That part I liked for sure and will remember). So sorry I didn't get to see you in your pure comedic timing on stage with a mic when you hosted events in T&T. So Sorry we didn't get to hear you on some songs of your own creation or on more BIG Trinidadian artists songs (and artists around the world) before you were taken back home to Heavenly Father. Yung Bredda and the Optimus Pro TT crew and the others in Guyana etc who put your words to song.. I am sure would agree... it would have been pure Trini & Jamaican / Soca & Reggae niceness had more come to fruition. Rest in Peace. My heartfelt condolences to his friends and family.
