I worked out recently that it was OK to write songs from the perspective of other people. So, this song isn't about me. It came about after singing at a couple of Open Mic Nights hosted by the Veterans Motorcycle Club. I'd been trying to write a song about the experience of Military Veterans for a while but the lyrics always sounded cheesy and cliched until now (I hope).

This is a fairly rough recording but it's a bit of a warts and all song anyway. I've also sat on the lyrics for a few months changing them here and there. But tomorrow is ANZAC Day and I wanted to get the song out there.
