GALA - Freed From Desire (Delta's Waveless Remix) by Delta

I started this remix initially as an original piano melody idea. It sounded a lot like (and, of course, it was highly inspired by) Avicii's older remixes from the 2010s, hence the name of the remix, "Waveless". After crafting the melodies, I realized that this project needed a vocal to sound complete and wouldn't make sense as an instrumental, so I started scouring for acapellas. This is when I came across GALA's Freed From Desire, and I liked it! I thought it would fit well with the track, and for once the acapella was actually of good quality.
At the last second, I decided to release 2 versions of the same remix, the second version being a version where the vocal sample is in the original scale and everything else is transposed down 1 semitone to match the vocal (whereas the original project was written one semitone up from the original vocal, and the vocal was transposed to match the melody). I think you should listen to the original version first, then the D Minor version, as your ears will react to the same exact song but transposed down as a more sad/melancholic version of the same track, and I think that unlocks an interesting new emotion from what was otherwise a bouncy, upbeat dance track.
