Strange Orchard

Strange Orchard is a four piece rock’n roll band dedicated to creating and performing new and original popular music. Led by vocalist, pianist, and songwriter Hugh McCulloch; the group formed amidst the doldrums of the Coronavirus pandemic. During the long days of isolation the band began to take root in their shared influences: The Beatles. Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Elton John, The Doors, Queen, Rush and more. As the shroud of the pandemic lifted, Strange Orchard began performing at open mic nights and small venues in Greenville and were immediately embraced by enthusiastic audiences won over by the band‘s energy and timeless appeal. Like a new musical hybrid emerging from its chrysalis, Strange Orchard combines all the best elements of Classic Rock, Pop, Psychedelic, Soul, and the great Singer Songwriters of decades past into a timeless blend that feels both familiar and fresh. Not surprisingly their success is also anchored in a great deal of hard work and musical training. Not a rehash, a tribute, or a remake, but an honest and reverent continuation of the evergreen popular music of the 1960’s and 1970’s.
