"Max and Moritz" a cartoon opera in seven pranks (2010)
Libretto: Øystein Wiik, based on the children's book by Wilhelm Busch, music by Gisle Kverndokk.
Commissioned and premiered by The New York Opera Society, at The National Gallery in Washington DC, October 17th. 2010. The production was directed and designed by Joachim Schamberger, dramaturgy by Inger Schjoldager, costume design by Camille Ashaf-Doshi, lighting design by Marcus Doshi.
With Gustavo Ahualli, Carlos Feliciano, John Tiranno, Juliana Rambaldi, Victor Benedetti and Sarah Pillow. Conducted by Gisle Kverndokk, assistant conductor: Elisabeth Young. Produced by Jennifer Cho.
