A Tribute To The Sound & Adrian Borland - Volume 2 : Listening to the song "Deep Deep Blue" it sends shivers through you when Adrian says "I thought we had time on our side, it hurts to know we've run out of road tonight" and you realize just how fitting the title of that song has become when we ponder the tragic loss of Adrian Borland at the young age of 41. We can only imagine what he was going through on the roller coaster of life, but we certainly appreciate and are very grateful for the many treasures he left us, in his beautiful songs. This tribute is our small way to say thanks and maybe expose a few more people to his incredible body of work, as they go back and discover the originals. It's also saddens me to know that the singer of the cover version on this CD, Michael Harding (The Only Michael, 1000 Mexicans) has also passed away or 'run out of road' and so we dedicate this album to Adrian Borland and Michael Harding. The words in "Total Recall" when Adrian sings "it's all such a blur when time goes so quickly" really struck and I realize it has been way too long since our last Adrian Borland/ The Sound tribute, which came out in 2014 and so we really focused on completing this sequel and we hope that it brings some enjoyment to the fans. Thank you for listening!

We want to thank everyone who helped out with this project and everyone who listens to this and the previous edition. BIG Thanks to: We are eternally grateful to all the bands and musicians who helped out with submissions – we would not be here without you! Also a special thanks to the following: Thomas Keitsch, Adrian Janes, Jean Paul Mierlo, Jamie Nordstrand, Jack Rabid, Phil King, Owen Jones, Phil Bova, John Clarkson, DJ tic, Steve Kirkland, Glenn Griffiths, Bart Mendoza, Pete Salem, Michael Harding, Chris Saracino, and most of all to Adrian Borland, Colvin Mayers, Graham Bailey, Michael Dudley, Benita Biltoo, and all the other musicians who played with Adrian before and after The Sound in various groups. The Music of the Adrian and The Sound continues to live on and inspire others and we hope it does for years to come.
