More than 600 SAPS members investigated by IPID in Western Cape according to annual report by Radio Islam International published on 2022-09-07T13:16:22Z According to the police watchdog IPID report for the financial year 2021–2022, 662 incidents in the Western Cape were referred to the organisation for review between April 2021 and March 2022. These include rape and murder in custody allegations. Of these, 215 cases (32.5%) warranted action to be taken.
