OIGG is a traditional Irish music band from the green fields of Northern Ostrobothnia.
OIGG hatched more than ten years ago as a duo of flutist and pianist. One of the first songs on the band's list was Old Gray Goose, and both musicians had casts, one in an arm, the other in a leg. That's how the name of the band was born: Old Invalid Gray Geese, and the abbreviation OIGG came into use. Later OIGG has grown into a quintet with the addition of an accordion, a violin and an octave mandolin.
