One Heart Whole

there's a warm breeze
and many ways to survive
take your worries
and hang them out to dry
hear me if I'm not mistaken
forgive me all I know
many loves must be forsaken
to make just one heart whole
to make just one heart whole

your wily ways
all these secrets and lies
should have no place
in your heart or mine
any thorn can be misleading
and discolour the rose
left alone, distraught and needy
leave me any- anything but broke
to make just one heart whole

drop all defense, discard pretense,
relinquish resistance, be still

hear me if I'm not mistaken
forgive me all I know
many loves must be forsaken
to make just one heart whole
to make just one heart whole

there's a warm breeze
and many ways to survive

@cat-came-back: Yes, this one was a blast. ah, this is the original, or rather the one after my acoustic original. It's grown on me over the years

sounds quite different to the version with Aine. Less poppy maybe. Cool track like this as well. Is there any difference in the mix apart from the vocals?

@default_sensor: it's in G, there were sbtleties in note bending that got lost when I changed key on the other one

@2rightly: Ah maybe it was the key change I was hearing that made it sound "brighter". Really nice track though it both versions 😃

@default_sensor: this one in G was how I wrote it. I'm still learning lots, it might sound brighter with the settings, equalisation, etc adjust to the version in G
