Imagining Haiku poetry as an auditory experience, these fragile sonic snowflakes take flight for mere moments and then subside into nothingness. Channeling the punk rock ethos of focused and fast with limited means, Multidim's own Jeffrey Wentworth Stevens jumps back into the fold on MDIM030 with the perfect ambient release to enjoy sitting with a single cup of tea.
All songs follow the traditional haiku form of 5-7-5. The first loop in an expression of five, the second movement in an expression of seven, and the third final line in an expression of five.
Each sonic haiku was performed by alternating lines between a Casio SK-1, a Casio Sk-5, and Casio SK-1 in one or two takes. Put them on repeat and melt away.
